For BTS's recent album "BE", the members were in charge of every aspect of the album, including the concept photos of the album.
Unlike their past projects where many are part of the "BTS Universe" they chose this time to show a natural and direct side since the concept was daily life.
"I think we tried to make it really free to make it different. We didn't even have a synopsis. We usually had this universe and stories were deep. But in this album, we included songs that we just wanted and made.
We were like that when we filmed the MV. Director Jung Kook was like "Which part do we film now?". It wasn't decided like it was for the other albums. "Stand here!", "Director, I'll go into the water to make it look good ". We played soccer barefoot out of the blue.

In an interview with Weverse RM says that he gave the idea of the room concept for the album photos:
"How do you feel about the unique approach you took to making your new album, BE?
RM: The other members were a ton of help to me. My lyrics made it on the album, but the music I composed didn’t, so I’m really thankful to the group for the music. How should I say this? I feel like everyone is doing a great job. There are so many parts in these songs that I'm indebted to them for. “Stay” was originally going to be the title song on Jung Kook’s mixtape, but everyone liked it so much, and they all agreed to put that on our album. That’s how much influence they had.
I'm really happy my room idea was chosen to be the album photos. Since we're spending a lot of time in our rooms because of COVID-19, we laid out the idea of each of us decorating a room in our own style. I can't remember for sure (laughs) but I think I'm the one who came up with that."

V: We communicated smoothly, and I listened to all of their concept ideas and I organized everything around that. If we tried something too natural, it wouldn’t be conceptual enough, so we did our best to strike a balance.

V: That’s a picture I took. I like photos and drawings, but if I had used any art then I would’ve been using that one particular artist’s work, so I thought I’d better use one of my own photos. I ended up choosing the violin because I learned how to play it but also because I enjoy classical and jazz.

V: I made it, so naturally I like it. (laughs) Part of me thinks I should’ve tried something more conceptual.
